This is the privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) for the Rootstock Vaults website-hosted user interface (the “Services”), provided by RSK Labs Limited, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands (“our”, “we”, or the “Company”). We are the controller of the personal data collected through the Services and we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

By using the Services, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy and our applicable Vault Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”), and consent to our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your information as described here. The Terms contain provisions that limit our liability to you and require you to resolve any dispute with us on an individual basis and not as part of any class or representative action. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY PART OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY OR OUR TERMS, THEN PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY OF THE SERVICES.

We have written this Privacy Policy in a simple and accessible way. Key terms:

  • PERSONAL DATA: Any information related to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g. name and surname, address, email, identity, location data, IP address, cookie data, telephone).
  • CONSENT: The free, informed and unequivocal statement with which you accept the treatment of your personal data for a specific purpose.
  • TREATMENT: Any operation carried out with personal data (collection, use, access, storage, transfer, elimination, etc.).

What Information We Collect

When you use the Services, connect your wallet, fill in forms, provide feedback, or report a problem, we may collect, store and use certain information. For general use of the interface we collect only non-identifiable data, such as public on-chain data and limited off-chain data, including:

  • Information about your device, browser or operating system
  • Country where you access the Services; time zone setting
  • Interactions within the web app (scrolling, clicks, actions taken, sections visited, time spent)
  • Wallet types used for deposits or withdrawals
  • Number of deposits or withdrawals made per wallet through the Services
  • Values of the deposits or withdrawals made through the Services
  • Response times

We collect information when you visit and interact with the Services through technologies such as cookies. Please refer to your device’s help material for controls to remove or block cookies; doing so may affect your use of the Services. We may also partner with third parties who collect anonymous usage or statistical data through your use of the Services.

How and Why We Use / Share the Collected Data

  • Provision of Services: To enable you to access and use the Services; to improve the Services; and to comply with the law. We will proceed as necessary to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests and legal process.
  • Communication with Users: We may communicate about promotions, events, and other news about our products and services and those of selected partners.
  • Compliance, Fraud Prevention, and Safety: We may use the data to protect, investigate, and deter fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.
  • Sharing Your Information: We may share data with any member of our group (subsidiaries, ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries) where lawful; with selected third parties (business partners, suppliers, subcontractors) to perform a contract; and with analytics providers. We may also disclose data on a sale/acquisition of the business, or where under a duty to disclose to comply with a legal obligation or enforce our Terms.
  • Service Providers: We provide Service Providers only the minimum personal data needed, under contracts requiring them to protect it and respect your rights.
  • Other Disclosures: Your browser, mobile operator or others may separately collect information about you and act as independent controllers under their own policies.
  • Links to Third-Party Sites: The Services may link to third-party sites outside our control and not covered by this Privacy Policy; review their policies before submitting data.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep data as long as necessary for the purposes collected, to comply with regulatory or legal requirements, or during the applicable limitation period.

Security

We put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial measures—including secure servers and industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest—to protect your data. Access is limited to those with a business need, bound by confidentiality. We have breach procedures and will notify you and any regulator where legally required.

International Data Transfers

Some Service Providers may be based outside the European Economic Area (the “EEA”). Where we transfer data outside the EEA we seek appropriate safeguards transfer to a country recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, or governed by standard contractual clauses or other appropriate cross-border transfer solutions.

Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect prior lawful processing. If you withdraw consent we may be unable to provide certain Services.
